I wanted to stop reading many times because I could not take what was happening. The scenes felt so real. I could see the abuse as it was happening. My heart beat just as fast as Tisha's in the moments of despair. My heart broke for her and her bro. I both smiled and cried as this story unfolded. Leary about part 3. To even think that the mother could be so vicious so unloving I have read book one and book 2 in one day that's how good sins of thy mother is. That Denise is a piece of work and I hope she gets what's coming to her I feel so terrible for the poor children who have to indoor lifestyles like this . but that Denise is a ruthless bitch
Where Is Jerrod at? I hope he's okay and all but I'm also pissed that he's not around, I thought Terrica was apart of a gang, you would think that there was more help, my God. It's very sad almost to the point where I wish I could help. People should have more common sense, I'm sure she looks like a crack head.
Sadistic sadistic sick. I am 67 yrs old. I started reading these urban novels when I retired . To date I have read nearly 6 or 700. This was so sick I'd question the authors vivid imagination. I kept reading just knowing that the " good times" would kick in on the next page . I cried relentlessly. Too bad because the author is truly talented why waste it on this sadism.
I am not much of a reader but after reading the first I quickly got the second. I am so heart broken and on edge reading this book. Almost destroyed my damn kindle in the heat of the never ending drama. I held on to my daughter tight and cried at the thought of a child going through so much pain. I would definitely read other books from this author. Hoping this story continues but not sure my heart can take any more.
This book is unbelievably good... I can't wait to read part 3 because that Denise is a monster and needs to be destroyed..She hates her own kids and does everything to make their lives miserable.. Poor Shamel and Tisha they endured some hideous things at the hands of their mother.. I find myself wanting to help them myself and I know it's a story... Great read and it captures you from beginning to end.
First how do we got to wait for the next book, That Denise is Satan daughter for real how she'll her son and destroy her daughters but i just know Denise is going to get hers in the next book. Niki Jilvontae you really out did yourself with this series Sins of thy Mother. Just keep up the good work and God got the rest.
I really hoped that there would have been some good things happening, but the entire book was about torcher & how Denise hated her kids. I was glad that Terricka came to save her brother & Sister but it didn't help, because she ended up going to jail. I hated Duck`s character he got what he deserved. May Denise Rot in hell for what she did to Sha. I can't believe through all of the beatings Tisha didn't lose her baby.
